Happy New Year to you all. A few of us were out on Saturday morning following the rain and floods of this week, and enjoying the sunshine, to do the first leaflet drop of 2024.
This year, of course, is going to be an election year. A General Election. We have all seen the polls and that means that we have to get out as often as possible in the time before we go to the polls to persuade people that the man who, nearly five years ago, was happy to serve alongside Jeremy Corbyn and would presumably have served in his Cabinet, is just as much of an existential danger to the country as his former boss was.
Sir Keir is hoping to get to the election by answering as few questions as possible about what he plans to do, where the money he will fritter away will come from and what taxes he will inevitably put up. Every time he is asked awkward questions he changes his story. And, like so many in his party, he doesn't appear to know what a woman is. This coming from a man who was one of our most senior lawyers.
So please come out as often as you possibly can and help us persuade people that Labour remain too great a risk for the country. The Government is taking difficult decisions to deal with inflation and the debts built up during the pandemic. Can we trust Labour not to simply squander their good work? And remember the kind of spending we saw during the pandemic is the kind of spending advocated by Corbyn's Labour long before we had heard of Covid. Their default is to spend spend spend other people's money. Your money! Add that to some of the lunacies of their wokery and they simply cannot be trusted.
We have 40, 000 leaflets to be delivered around the constituency to get Harriett Baldwin, our excellent MP, re-elected. Please join us for just a couple of hours this Saturday and as many Saturdays as you can manage. There is a WhatsApp group you can join which gives details of where we will be campaigning. It is also an excellent forum for you to talk to like-minded fellow Conservatives. Harriett frequently chips in to the conversations.
We will post full details of this week's campaigning as soon as possible, but it will be in Pershore. Don't worry if that is too far for you. We will be arranging sessions right around the constituency in the coming weeks.
Thank you for your support in this vital year.
To join our WhatsApp campaign group please contact the office and we will add you to the group chat. Unfortunately the link we posted here was being abused by non members and so we have had to remove it.
