A GOVERNMENT review into local pharmancy services has been extended after to make sure local people have their say.
Hundreds of people have filled out cards at their local chemists responding to the consultation process and sent them to local MP Harriett Baldwin.
Health Minister Alistair Burt has written to Harriett confirming that the deadline has been extended allowing more time to consider the responses.
Harriett said: “Hundreds of people have filled out the cards distributed by pharmacists in Malvern and the message has got through that it is important the Government takes the right amount of time to consider them.
“It is very clear that people have strong views on their local pharmacists and I thank them for taking the time to keep me in the loop.
Pharmacists are able to respond directly to this consultation and I encourage them all to make sure they have their say.
A formal response from the Government is due in October and I look forward to seeing the plans for local services laid out later in the year.”
