WEST WORCESTERSHIRE MP Harriett Baldwin has this week backed a series of measures which will bring new jobs and growth to Malvern.
A handful of major projects are underway locally which will see new jobs created in the town – including new buildings at Malvern Hills Science Park.
Harriett has offered her support to local business leaders as proposals are developed for yet more growth both for Malvern and the wider business community.
Last month, Malvern Hills District Council laid out its own blueprint for economic growth including expansion at the Science Park and other key business centres across the county.
Harriett said: “I recently met with Science Park chief executive Alan White to discuss his expansion plans and also met with a delegation from Innovate UK looking at proposals to develop a cutting –edge research capability in the town.
“We’ve already seen the development of the National Cyber Security Centre in Malvern and one of our own home-grown successes stories, UTC Aerospace, move into a fabulous new, purpose-built HQ at the Science Park.
“Companies are expanding rapidly, creating new jobs and helping the wider economy to thrive. Malvern is a real success story, led by brilliant brains and ambitious entrepreneurs.
“I take great pride talking about Malvern’s successes and will continue to offer my own support as further plans for expansion, led by the local district council, are created.”
