WEST WORCESTERSHIRE MP Harriett Baldwin has offered her support to a local woman who has set up her own florist business after recovering from a serious brain injury.
Lucy Jones used to be office manager at Malvern Town Council but she suffered a brain haemorrhage and two brain aneurysms which left her partially-sighted and without any memories as well as forgetting how to read and write.
The brave Malvern business woman has overcome huge hurdles to open up a floristry business – named Shrinking Violet Bespoke Floristry - at Great Malvern train station and Harriett met with her to help to promote the business.
Harriett said: “Lucy clearly has enormous skill and artistic talent and her only memory as she recovered from her illness was that she wanted to run her own florist shop.
“She has not allowed her illness to define her and it is so inspiring to see the way she has been able to fulfill her ambition to be her own boss. I am happy to help to support her in this venture.”
