SUNDAY LUNCH BBQ SUNDAY 29th July
West Worcester Conservative Association,
Tenbury Wells Branch
So how did it all go? Many have enquired, as a beautiful week’s weather turned decidedly inclement on the Saturday and Sunday.
Fortunately, Jane and Michael Hogan’s huge barn saved the day and the decision was made to hold the event “indoors”!
Despite the weather, the turnout was well up to expectations as was the food. No one really expected a three course sit down meal followed by coffee and chocolates… not bad for £14.
The big event was, of course, the Auction of Promises with Nick Champion, local auctioneer in charge and with a total of 18 generous promises. Bidding was keen resulting in a profit of £1,400.
The event raised a total of over £2,000 towards Conservative funds.
Our thanks go to all those who supported the event. Whether it was by buying tickets, helping with the food, by providing a promise or the sheer graft of furniture shifting, decorating the barn and signposting the event. All that help resulted in a successful and very enjoyable event. Many thanks, Janet and Tony Penn.
